IKWYM, but it's still worth it imho.

Firefox 3.5 instead of 3.0, OpenOffice 3.1 instead of 3.0, much better
power management on this laptop - whole stack of "little things" that all
add up to more than compensate for a few niggles. 10.04 is going to be
LTS, so shouldn't be quite such a radical step.

No. The 9.10 is on another machine. This machine has 8.04 and a Logitech
webcam that doesn't work with Skype beta1. Beta2 won't install. The
webcam works fine in MSM messenger on this machine, so I assume the
camera's good.

Simon's currently looking into the beta2 problem.
