*ding*

This was pre-DA, but I had no problem insuring my SZR before I passed
my test[1], but the insco was very stern, both on the phone and in the
letter than came with the policy, that I was not to actually ride it
until passing my test.

[1] it was delivered about a week before my test date, and I wanted
theft cover.

What do you think you are doing, giving a helpful answer based on
factual knowledge?
Thanks.

I don't see any advantage, because the school doing the training would
probably not allow him/you to use your own machine.

They'll have their own specialist cover and it's likely to be linked to the
use of their own bikes and not bikes belonging to the riders, plus they
wouldn't reduce their charges for "own bike" training by enough to make it
worthwhile insuring your own.

At least that's how I see it.

Fair enough.
