There's the rub - you try finding any small business unit that will get
planning permission for motorcycle trade use around here, and
especially in an area where customers will travel to. There are none,
I've already searched and had an estate agent search too. There are a
couple out on farms in the middle of nowhere, places that even I have
trouble finding. No matter how good you are you'll have a problem with
people not bothering because they cba to take a trip that far out to
have minor repairs done.

Looking at it there's no problem doing the work, I'm confident and
experienced enough to take on just about anything, and I have most of
the kit to do it too, but I dunno if there's enough work out there to
support me and the overheads.

Just doing the occasional one or two for friends from home sees me ok
for now, and keeps the wolf from the door.

There are at least a couple of guys around here who have a mobile
service. They come to you with a van full of tools and parts. Dunno
how successful they are. It would seem difficult to make much money at
it.

That's the thought that occurred to me. One of those ex-racing team
vans could be big enough to [1] act as a mobile workshop, [2] provide
overnight crash-space and [3] serve as Lozzo's mobile collect/deliver
service.
