The SE 103s and 110s have been getting the stouter comp sprocket for a
while now. You may have been a tad early for it though as it's a -08 part
number.

Miata? <sfsf>

Doesn't matter, each year has at least one issue. Some, like the earlier cam
chain tensioners spanned '99 all the way to '06.

I think the '07 & up cam tensioner setup is gonna stand the test of time. I
saw a set with 50k on 'em and there was no perceptable wear.

If you're thining bagger there really isn't a choice IMO..... the '09 frame
and Brembos, ABS etc is worth the debugging effort. If one is gonna have a
sled long-term that Extended Warranty might be worth considering the way
they're throwing things together these days.

Limited budget. Yep it's gonna be a bagger. Looking at used 07 or newer
cop bikes. Low miles, big motah and ABS. No new frame but I'm thinkin I
might have to compromise. That may all change in 6 months or so.

My Deuce has gone over 80,000 miles with no issues. I have had to
replace the tensioners twice or course. I see used bikes with gear
drives installed, 2002-2006 with like 10000 or less (2k) miles on 'em.
So my logic is if mine went that far, a used one with gear driven cams
installed can only be that much better.

But then sometimes you just gotta say what the hell.

I looked, they seemed OK for now. Have a spare set on the shelf just in case. Ya just
never know.

Yea, but TL can diagnose strange noises via the interwebs. Sometimes. Worth a shot. Or
two. Next round's mine.
