Same here - I've been out of the upgrade loop for a couple of years and
am finding out what's what with current CPUs /MBs /memory.
If I get this box up to snuff and have it as an HD processer, I can use
another PC networked to it as my HTPC, directly driving the projectors.

Before you hit the buy button, take a look at the Vu+ Duo. It's the same
chipset as the Dreambox and is getting some pretty good early reports.

Spec is close to the 8000 but the price is closer to the 800.
