Looks like the audio output from my Humax has died, so it's time for a
new one.

I'm thinking of trying a different brand, as there have been issues
with support from Humax.

What's the brand of choice?

I'm not into a self-build, so save your energy, ta.

TIA

Humax or topfield are the only two that I'd consider , so if you want to
avoid Humax......

My Topfiield's pretty good, though rather pricey. Has its quirks though,
and I swear it forgets to record things occasionally.

One of mine died t'other week, I bought a PVR 6300 from here;
http://www.humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10072&cat=stb

Two weeks later, HD died.
Cue one polite phone call to their sales, two days later courier appears to
swap old for new. Result.
Sent them a thankyou.

Excellent service and no quibbling.

PS Maplins have a selection.
