Where did you read that? :)
And who have you met?

Already done that. Even lived in the States for a while. And indeed
it was the best place for toys and stuff like that. But other things
did not compensate. So here I am trying to find out which is the best
US toy for Spain :-)

Not anything or anybody specific. It's more like an impression
after more than 40 years of riding, reading and chatting.. Something
along the lines of what we say in Spain about the devil: "Más sabe el
diablo por viejo que por diablo" :-)

Tx for the input and good ride.

Thanks for the info and the link.

I've already Googled it quite a bit but, as a Usenet/Fido/BBS old-
timer, I always ask in most biker Usenet groups whose language I can
understand. More so being US bikes the theme :-)

Not at all. I did it because the theme was relevant to all groups I
cross-posted to and those who answered did not mind.

Bye and thanks again.

I've tried them both. Very comfortable, at least from a rider's point of
view.

I doubt you'd go wrong with either, but if you get a Victory against your
wife's advice, every time something goes sideways you'll get an additional
lecture/mocking/pointing and laughing. May not sound like a big deal now,
but if you get aggravated over these thing, the extra nonsense might not be
worth it. heh

The Victory may be more reliable, however, if it takes days/weeks/months to
get a part, vs a minute/hour/day to get a Harley part, I'd go with the
Harley. This goes double if you and your friends are already familiar with
them.

The one thing I really hate about the Victory touring models is the crappy
storage. Those saddlebags look huge, but once you open them there's just a
little slot in the middle of a bunch of pretty bodywork. It seems they were
more concerned with retro-futuristic Flash Gordon Air Cycle looks than
storage space. The numbers may be on Victory's side, but getting stuff in
and out looks like a chore.

You'll also have a lot more goodies you can add to a Harley. Lots and lots
more. I've seen very little offered for the Vision.

Last time I was up close to a Victory (at a dealership)
it seemed as though the frame and suspension system was
set up similar to a Softail. Note the absence of visible
rear shocks:

If your lady didn't think the Beemer or the GW was comfortable
enough then you'd better get her Queen Isabella's coronation
coach drawn by a team of white Lipizzaner horses.
