I've been using Earthlink to access Usenet for over 10 years. They still add 10 - 20 new Groups every month. They have two servers so when something's goofy with one the other is usually up n running. Reliability has been excellent for the most part...... last week they were down for an evening and a few years ago they were down for almost a month as they were doing some sort of server reflog. When DSL came to the deep, dark woods with another provider that didn't offer Usenet access I switched my EL account to a 'bring your own access' type. $9.95/mo. for 8 e-mail accounts that includes 10 MB of Web space for each. 20 hrs of dialup access/mo. if I need it on the road. I think the Big Stinkmeister is doing the same. Dunno if EL is around Canuckia but it might be worth lookin' into. 112 |
