No, the Burger King promotional offerings are a business-stimulating loss leader for the franchise owners and the US government has nothing to do with it. But franchise owners in high rent districts are angry because they have to pay minimum wage workers to keep up with the demand for fast food sold at a loss. If I could find a more convenient source of taurine, I would never eat at BK...
