Colt. According to the charts on M1911.org the manufacture date was in 1918. T'was my dad's gun from WWII, and I've known it all my life. It's a straight 1911, but somewhere in it's life it had A1 grips installed. They're in a drawer now, as my kid bought me a set of Pacymeyer's for it. I've also still got my first .22 rifle which I got on my 12th B-day, a nice little Savage pump gun, and a couple of 12 gauges, just to round out the collection. Got a pic around here someplace, I'll put it across the street if I can find it. -- Old Crow '82 FLTC(P)'Pearl' '87 FLTC 'Bebe La Strange' '61 F-100 BS#132, TOMKAT, SENS, SLOB#13 ** Posted from http://www.teranews.com ** |
