Sorry I forgot to offer a drink on my tab but you were probably on duty and
wouldn't have accepted anyway. <bseg>

Thanks for the Magic Hat #9. And the other one too.

It was a mess, somehow the front pulley came off the shaft and clatterbanged around enough
to kaflufferpoo the seal, which let the eight bucks a quart lubragoob out all over the
place.

I may have overstated a bit; I have always (total of 2 HDs in my short life) been able to
randomly find neutral between any two gears from time to time. 3rd to 4th is one of the
easier ones. After the adjustment up-shifting was easier and more positive, and iirc the
missed shifts mostly went away. I haven't ridden since the street went from pavement to
ice, and won't until it returns to pavement. Probably late in March.

Spring comes late around here:

Try me. If I couldn't drink at work, I'd never go back. Vodka is your/my
friend.

I used to live in a place like that, Middleboro MA. But that was before I
could drive.
Winter came during fall around Houston this year.

Another day without a missed shift. Wet roads help keep the wick twisting to
a minimum.

I watch those Samuel Adams commercials with real envy. Drinking a cold one
at the desk at work just seems too cool for school.
