Thanks for the pics. Looks simple enough. I didn't figure the steps would tough, just the process. I've got a primary locking bar and the necessary sockets. Didn't think about using a torch, but I have one of those small propane jobbies on hand. Good info. Getting that compensator nut off of there was a primary concern. I know that sucker is on there tight. -- Steve Paul EKIII, BS284 '93 FXRS-C "Mule" No salt, No plans

Heat that sucker up real good and the locktite melts enough to break it free. With my propane torch it just took a couple minutes. -- 74 CB 450 - Stolen; 74 Z1 900 - Traded; 76 FX 1200 - Stolen; 78 FX(E) 86 CI - Daily rider nice weather; 02 FXDX 88 CI - Daily rider other weather

Never used mine for that so I can't say myself. 4-6 ft cheater bar gives lots of leverage. -- 74 CB 450 - Stolen; 74 Z1 900 - Traded; 76 FX 1200 - Stolen; 78 FX(E) 86 CI - Daily rider nice weather; 02 FXDX 88 CI - Daily rider other weather
