Turnsigs are working now , and I ordered some more stuff last night for an
LED array that should really brighten up the back end . This bike has the
most complicated wiring harness I've ever worked on a bike . That's the flip
side of all the creature comforts this one has , I guess .

We tried, but it was *this* close...

That's what I figured. I've never had any fun with y'all either :-P

'tho, there was that time when we lost Kenny...may have been more than
once...came close to having fun then.

Oh good, that means Karen got Lisa's phone message. She was wondering. I
was wondering too, I'd been asking her to call all week.

We're really proud of the kid. Gonna be proud parents again in a couple
weeks. He's getting married too. He really didn't think about all the
pressure he'd put on himself by scheduling the wedding so close to his
graduation. He found out that planning a wedding, honeymoon, getting
incorporated, prof licensing, searching or a job, and working though his
final grad requirements was challenging when done all at once. I've only
said 'told ya so' a couple times. He just rolls his eyes. Makes me feel
kinda warm inside to know I can still get a response.

The other Cabana boy now lives in Charlotte. I think you met him at the
last MISFIT south of Asheville (Chimney rock?). He's been making noises
about us going to the next MISFIT. With everything else going on I'm not
planning on it, but who knows. Hope to see you guys there if we do.

Hope to see you there.

Congratulations on the new Dentist in the family.

Me too. Tell Barb we say hey.

Thanks. The Dentist thing is definitely cool. I'm looking forward to my
raise when he stops tapping his line of credit with the "Bank of Dad", if ya
know what I mean.

The new daughter(in-law) is actually a bit more exciting. Lisa's been
bouncing off the walls. She's a *bit* more excited than me. We now have a
couple pounds of personalized M&M's, preprinted napkins, a bunch of toole
circles (look it up), yards of ribbon, some little heart candies, dozens of
party poppers, a bunch of little kissy bells, 20 printed frisbees, etc just
waiting in their respective boxes waiting to be used. She's like a little
kid. I've been thinking of getting one of those tranquilizer guns they use
in the zoo.

But it could get worse, I'm anticipating a minor unstable conjunction of
elemental forces within the universe when Lisa's family and mine occupy the
same space at the same time. Weekend after next, keep an eye on the Stock
Market and the Southern fault lines. Heck there could be a whole string of
well heads blowing out in the gulf. Dogs and cats sleeping together. Real
end of the world stuff. (/gostbusters) Or maybe just a mass migration of
Slugs back to FL, IL, AL, and NC (heh).

Tomorrow I have to buy Champagne. I'm not fan of the stuff myself, but I
think I found something even I can choke down. Remember when you tried
(without success) to convince me that Scotch Whisky was a viable drink, and
on some level tasted "good". Well, I gotta say, this stuff is actually
better. It isn't actuall good, but it isn't bad either. Scotch just tastes
like dirt mixed with alcohol. I know, "it'd an acquired taste" but I can
acquire that for free in the alley behind most bars every weekend (sfsf).

For the champagne, I have a huge "fish box" cooler where I can ice it down.
Still gotta go shopping for plastic glasses too. What a wretched task it is
to be father of the groom. Of course, I may just sneak a flask of Dickel in
my suit for the bridal toast ;-) My kid is used to me being a classy kinda
guy. Think he'd mind me hoisting a shiny stainless steel flask instead of a
froo-froo champagne flute?
