It does. You organise your folders, do your editing (if necessary) click upload
and walk away.

I use PB. It's easy to use and generates IMG codes to use with forums.
Flickr might but it didn't last time I used it.

Groups are useful, I've been on many a shoot through Flickr
I'm guessing its the Semi-Pro's medium of choice.

I wasn't aware of the alternatives other than fotopic. Fotopic had
particular problems a couple of years ago when it disappeared for days
amid rumours it had gone bust. The business was refinanced but I
think people were spooked as a result of that. I don't like the
fotopic interface either and it can be tediously slow in showing newly
loaded photos. Zenfolio is very nicely put together and if I was to
move from Flickr for some reason then I might consider that.

I find Flickr easy and convenient to use and affordable. The social
aspect of it is quite nice too and the huge volume of photos means you
can find all sorts of stuff with relative ease. The only small issue
of late is the recent "deal" with Getty Images which is an absolute
rip off and incredibly restrictive in terms of exclusivity to Getty
and them creaming off 70% of any revenue from the use of an
individual's images. That sort of insidious "big business" tie up I
don't like but then Flickr / Yahoo are big business themselves so why
am I surprised?

Hmmm I might have to have a shufti, have joined the local camera club
recently as I want to do a bit more photography and build up my
experience. Was at the Bedford River Festival and tool something like a
thousand pics over 2 days and think I only kept about 10% and of those
I only really properly like 2 of them, maybe 3
