Saw the comparison between them and Oil friers... but having not used
either, I can't compare or advise.

If one is allergic to peanuts and their oils, well then the choice would
be obvious!
Still, the oil frier is faster.

Bought a Traeger a few years ago. I use it for just about everything

My five year old niece is allergic to peanuts so I use pure canola oil.
Tastes just fine although I prefer peanut oil.

I've smoked a ton of turkeys and never needed anything bigger than one
of those Afro D2 looking smokers. Only smoked one at a time, but in a
pinch a big one and a small one might fit. Stuff it with oranges,
apples and maybe some pears and baste it periodically with Coke and
worchestershire diluted with water and smoke it over pecan and it's real
tasty.
