yes. early H-Ds (and Manx Nortons IIRC) had exposed valve gear that needed
oil. John's JD had an oil tank as part of the gas tank with a pressure pump
like an old Coleman lantern to do the job.

Let's see: he's tough, self-reliant, mechanically inclined, and seems

That's the part of northern England we in the New World call
