Rust. Leaking/torn roof, misted up rear window. Rattly tappets (oil not
changed frequently enough or too thick). Clutch slip (mine went at about
110K miles). Sills full of water. Sticking/broken electric windows.
Dodgy alarm. Duff battery. "Idle drop" - easily fixed, car can stall as
you eg. come up to a junction. Front brake calipers - seals, and they
can easily rust up and seize too.

Are some of the common faults that I'm aware of. (I have most of those
issues).

enthusiast, he told me that the Jap home market cars were undersealed while the
UK cars weren't ?

Not sure if that's differant depending on year etc.
