I believe the "justification" for twitbull spewing sleazy
lies about my deceased mother is his mental instability
combined with his utter lack of self worth, integrity,
class, and self respect. A fellow couldn't ask for a better

There is a convention on ukrm. "It's only a...."

This is used to cover the passing of a relative, the loss of a limb, the
smashing up of a bike, the death of a pet, anything.

It's understood that the poster is not feeling particularly happy, but
is putting a rathe British face on it, and indicating that life goes on
despite the particular tragedy.

And there is a long and well-documented history of keeping a stiff upper
lip in Britain, even nowadays.

You know this already.
