This evening I'm faced with taking public transport > home as Mr Bike refuses to fire up! Sounds like what happened to me in Michigan on the way home from the 2006 EKIII run. It was the ignition sensor. Fortunately, there was a guy in the restaurant that had a 30' snow mobile trailer with room for the bike. He graciously hauled me and the RK to the dealer where they needed only 45 minutes and a hunnert and turdy dollahs to get me going again. dp

Don't worry about the post, I'm sure that you've come out of your stupor to see it in the cold light of day. Oh and thanks for the drink. Cheers Aitch

All I've got is a set of jumper leads for the ... ahem... car! I'll give anything a try. As of today (Friday) I haven't been able to do a damn thing. Too busy migrating a server at work and last night I went to see Eddie Izzard, you know the comedian guy. After a game of field hockey tomorrow I may get the chance to go back into town to my workplace. I was wondering if I could bump start Mr Bike if it is only something to do with the starting system up to and including the starter motor. Whaddaya think? Cheers Aitch

Not sure, but you'd probably want to use a pretty heavy wire for that, right? That's probably a lotta juice going there. Ah, there we go, car jumper leads it is... Cheers Aitch |
