You don't want an 04 for driving around town in Houston. A few months back
I was returning from San Fran and running the desert in daytime, triple
digit heat. Mostly rolling fast and it wasn't a problem. However, the
heat was nearly unbearable when I had to stop for lights and the fan came
on. Crispy chicken!

Every year they made minor changes that inproved the heat problem, but it
was not fixed until this year. In 04 it was a heat shield under the tank
that didn't seem to help much. The bottom line is: Don't buy a used FJR
and expect to enjoy riding it in the summer Houston heat.

Concours != "Concours 14" != ZX-14 (ZZR-14). Wake up.

Are you a _complete_ fuckwit? First, you confuse the Concours 14 with
both the ZX-14 and the ZG1000 (well done), then you claim it is not a
real bike because Kawasaki hasn't released a full spec sheet.

It's real enough. It was displayed at the 2006 Kawasaki Dealer Show
in Anaheim, CA on September 23, 2006. There's pictures of it all over
the net. Just because they haven't firmed up the published specs doesn't
mean there isn't a real live production bike out there that you'll be
able to purchase in early 2007, despite the 2008 model year designation.

Some dealers (Rocky Mountain Kawasaki in Longmont, CO for one) are
already taking deposits. Here's some pictures (not supplied by Kawasaki)
of that vaporware bike:

Pictures don't make a "real" bike. Neither does a model on a showroom
floor. If it don't fly, it ain't a "real" plane.

It is NOT a "real live production bike". There is no production line
running to produce that motorcycle. It is something they are working to
have available as a 2008 model.

They have not finalized the design of the frame, suspension, engine, or
even the fuel tank. There is not one production bike out there. All these
items are TBD which means; To Be Determined. That's vaporware, Mark.

No, but thank you. I appreciate the classification of your posts. You may
reply if you wish, but I won't see it. I plonk everyone not bright enough
to construct an intelligent reply that doesn't include obscene name
calling.

As part of this little experiment, I also plonk the fanatics and the
crazies. It works great as it gets rid of the garbage and leaves the
interesting and informative stuff.
