500 older by a year iirc...after 72' the power was down and they
weren't as fun or so I'm told.

I had the later GT500 - no, not as quick. Better brakes and electronic
ignition as standard, though. And dead easy to tun and recover the lost
ponies, if you wanted.

In stock trim yes. With properly fiddled brakes and suspension they
are equal...yes I fiddled well in my younger days. Now? Now I don't do
so well...
