Yamaha's official website has a very complete parts catalog online. So does
Kawasaki. Honda and Suzuki don't, AFAIK- but there are MANY websites that
have the complete parts catalog for all the big four Jap makes available.

There seem to be a few that have Harley's parts catalog online but not nearly
as many. The fact that there are some legit websites that do have the Harley
parts catalog suggest that Harley isn't forbidding it, but I have no idea why
Harley would want to make it in any way hard to look up their parts online.

I can fully understand not making shop manuals free online, but why not do as
others have done and make the parts catalog freely available as a convenience
to your customers? Note that neither Yamaha nor Kawasaki's sites allow you
to order parts online (or even display suggested retail prices)- you have to
get parts through a dealer but you can print out wish lists from the site to
bring to the dealership.

I need to pick up a parts manual. It's not just being able to look up
a part number. The exploded diagrams are invaluable when I am trying
to put something back together.

Remember those little hooded creatures in the early Star Wars films? The
things that went rooting in mountains of industrial junk?

Jawas. That's you, that is.

Course Harleys haven't changed too much since the 40s... : )
