Go A1(M) - A14 - M11 - M25 - M23. The A1(M) further south is solid in the mornings through the Hatfield tunnel roadworks. -- Speedgazebo

You will cop the road works on the M25 around the M11 - A12 but it's not so bad, the traffic is always lighter on the Essex side. -- Speedgazebo

There is no best time for the M25 between 05:00 and 19:00, it is all a matter of luck, you are going to get some congestion whichever way you go but only the gods can decide to add 2 accidents to it.or not.
