There are, but if he takes the A 14 at Alconbury he'll miss them.

Two, on the A1 at Beeston just south of the roundabout - one on each
carriageway - both get the rear of the vehicle. The ones closer to
Biggleswade are front facers.

That would be the sensible route. It's hell on earth down the bottom of
the M1 in the morning, but it also gets congested at Huntingdon all the
way to Cambridge as well.

I dunno why Beeston gets such special treatment - they've got a
footbridge and everything there. They slip a camera van into the layby
in the middle of the village as well: I saw it there when Southbound,
looking at me, then 30 minutes later on the return trip it was on the
Northbound side, looking at me again.

It was the fixed camera on the Southbound side that first made me
wonder about cameras making a substantial contribution to road safety,
as the skidmarks in front of it became obscured by the sad piles of
broken glass and plastic on a regular basis.
