Agent of your own misfortune, then. Zeroing on a fiver - who would do
that?

Oh, I know that feeling. Waiting for something to fall off, whilst
hoping it won't - and every bit of gravel that rattles a mudguard is a
vital nut.

Sounds like we have a DFV!

An absent minded creature of habit.

Not directly - not yet anyway. The R&D director is a Brit, so I'm
hoping that he'll be off out somewhere to watch it, and invite me along
as a 'visiting Brit' privilege, like he did on Friday.

If not, there's always http://www.legofussball.eu/?Lego-Videos:WM_2010

And we did. A small but select band:
- me
- Andy Broadhurst and missus [1]
- Pip
- Gyp
- Scraggy & Missus
- Ginge

It was the most beautiful evening, so we sat outside with beers and
meal. Most of us set of a little before 9:30, when it was still very
light. On the way home, I reckon it was 'dusk' at 10pm, and not
properly dark until 10:30.

[1] I hope he won't mind me saying - jolly attractive missus. I
wouldn't bring her out to a full on UKRM do, if I were you, Andy
