"New Mac" "non-Mac" Can you see a subtle difference?

And which part of "from a non-Mac" did you miss?

I only have 1 Mac so I was trying to get at it from my (afp-enabled)
linux box.

Seems that it only happens if you do an OS upgrade then log on with the
guest account the first time after re-start.

Which would be a slightly odd thing to do.

If you use your normal user or admin account for the first log-on, then
nothing bad happens.

I'm not sure that's 100% true, but CBA to google.
