I do not like the way that Glocks feel.
I do however like my XD40 and would
like to get an XD45.

They are nice. I have to admit, in order to get me to switch to
something else, that "something else" has to offer some significance
over what I already have. The SA's are nice, but do not surpass the
Glock far enough to get me to switch my love of the original plastic
guns.

But if ya want, you can buy me a nice XDM for Christmas....if you're
feeling generous, of course. :-)

Sorry to step in here on this thread.

Is there a patent history on the SA XD M? Looks like an offshoot of the
old Browning patent that Sig Sauer System bought a few decades ago.

Does anyone keep track of that stuff anymore? I threw out a bunch of
old design articles/books and was surprised by the lack of discussion
available on the internet - assuming I Googled correctly.

I'm not crazy about Glocks straight out of the box
but there's a lot that can be done in terms of
blueprinting and aftermarket parts that make them
much better.

Sadly, thanks to the gun laws in this country, all I can do is sit and
dribble over the keyboard while looking at the Sig website. Nice pistols.

Ah, I know of a shop near Greensburg that has an indoor range. Think I
might have to pop down there next trip.

Cheers
