The South is very different than > Montana. I finished sixth overall in the 1998 Capital Classic 1000 Road Rally in 1998, riding some 1,250 miles in 24 hours circumvavigating Virginia; riding through D.C. and NoVa to Tidewater, across 58 to SW Va; up onto and across the BRP, upp 77 through WVA and finishing in Frederick, Md. There is no comparing the east coast riding environment to that of the open west, which I have also ridden extensively.

But...I got proficient enough to make bike deliveries in Bean town the pedestrians are WORSE than the cagers adn the other bikies? Play rough, play fair and know when to let the other guy by. Out west you could hit green ice or a elk or some such...not to mention the gravel on black top etc. |
