How unemployed do you have to be before you are able to swallow your pride and offer your services? I don't smoke any more, so I shouldn't be carrying anything that would enable me set fire to it. FWIW, you can do that trip in a day. When I was working for Nitro, once a month I used to drive up to Penrith in the morning, do a full day of sales meeting and then drive back to Bedford in the evening. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer, CBR600F-W racebike in the making, TS250C, RD400F (somewhere)

Your place is a lot easier to get to (St > Helens, right?) than the middle of nowhere in Cumbria. I spent the night at the Porter's Lodge when I picked up a 400 Four, coincidentally also in Cumbria, a few years ago. Jean's breakfast bacon butties are to die for. I'd guess that it's at least an hour and a half from there to Bedford. -- BMW K1100LT Ducati 750SS Honda CB400F Triumph Street Triple Suzuki TS250ER GN250 Damn, back to six bikes! Do the hand over is about an hour, then ride back is about 5 hours to Timo's, then train home from there is another 2 hours. A day at the most. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer, CBR600F-W racebike in the making, TS250C, RD400F (somewhere)

I wanted that. It is. And you've still got a chance, I haven't even bid on it yet - need to figure out the logistics first. -- Morini Corsaro 125 | XL250 Motosport | R1150RT | 3 1/2 Sport Laverda SF2 BOTAFOF #33 TWA#10 The UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/index.html "Je profite du paysage" - Joe Bar |
