Penrith is a lot easier to get to - train to Penrith from here is 5 1/2 hours. To Seascale (nearest station to the bike) it's about 8 hours. -- Morini Corsaro 125 | XL250 Motosport | R1150RT | 3 1/2 Sport Laverda SF2 BOTAFOF #33 TWA#10 The UKRM FAQ: http://www.ukrm.net/faq/index.html "Je profite du paysage" - Joe Bar

Is Mr Bonwick still working out of Barrow in Furness on occasion? That's just up the road from Seascale -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer, CBR600F-W racebike in the making, TS250C, RD400F (somewhere)

I didn't know the bike was on the west coast of Cumbria. Seascale is where that power station is situated, and I thought if Andy was working there then maybe he might be able to give a lift to the person collecting the bike. At least the ride back is a little shorter than from Penrith as you join the M6 at jct 37 not 40. -- Lozzo Versys 650 Tourer, CBR600F-W racebike in the making, TS250C, RD400F (somewhere) |
