I was tempted to say unlikely as modern ones are specialist pieces of kit
and not really for use by rank amateurs and should to be kept out of the
hands of know nothing numpties and then, for obvious reasons, I thought
better of it.

Just go to your local library. There are always stacks of books on fishing
in the sports section.
