I used to go fishing from time to time - with little success. I read said book and sold all my kit immediately (1). 1972 it was - never fished since. 1. Bought a tweed jacket so I would look prematurely aged (2). 2. So I could get into the Con club, drink beer and play snooker (3) past midnight. 3. Press bell and nice lady would bring up fresh round of drinks - charged a shilling (4) extra on the round. 4. It was called 5 pence by then - but I'm slow to adapt. John |
