From: c on 30 Dec 2009 14:02 http://roadkingclassic.wordpress.com/ Excerpt from the letter HD sent me after I bought a 2010 this summer: "On [my 2010 Road King Classic], the fuel tank front mounts may distort in reaction to severe frame damage from a frontal collision. This condition may cause a fuel leak at the weld of the front bracket to the tunnel. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may result in a fire, which could lead to injury or death to the rider." Just thought i'd share.... Safe rides ^_^ -c

That way, if the bike collides hard enough for the tank to break and catch fire, you'll already be sailing through the air, far from the danger. HTH ;)

If you can't take a little ribbing for some of the stupid stuff you post in this forum, move on. |
