Surviving.

Elefant, Slovenia, Chimay were all good. Often, mishaps simply lead to new
and rewarding endeavours - when Bonwick's satnav dumped us in the wrong
country, I enjoyed a hundred-mile flat-out rant across the Low Countries to
make the ferry. This was much more fun than simply turning up at the ferry
port on time. Plus, it wasn't my fault.

Slovenia: a three-figure solo blast across Austria in the gathering gloom,
knowing there was food, booze and company at the end, and the reciprocal run
the following day in blazing sunshine. The girl at the filling station near
Ziri, struggling to communicate in correct English (and getting it right).
Being described as a responsible adult. The dirndl-attired babes(ish) in
the beer hall in Traunstein.

Other stuff.

Having to spend most of Saturday sorting out the chain on the VFR in May.

Faceplanting the autobahn - but the blast home the next day was good. Once
I crossed the lines back into France, it was sunshine all the way.
