The fines do though- I think the total for the Alps trip was:
Germany - �1300
Switzerland- 1420CHF (approx �1000)
France - �90

However no threat to license or liberty. Marvellous.

Shite! Thats a bit steep! No threat to licence is a good thing but you
loose liberty doing the overtime to pay the fines.

I stil think that was a magnificent achievement by all concerned. I was
logging onto ukrm all the time, laughing my socks off at the latest
