Now you've got me wondering, Dusty: 1. Didja ever have to lay either of those bikes down to avoid an accident? 2. If so, did you do less than $30 damage to the bike in the process? Inquiring minds, and all that...

I'd watched a bit of it on TV in '93 and '94 and really liked it, back when ESPN carried some games during the USA expansion fiasco. The '94 western final is still one of the most exciting football games I've ever seen. Imagine my shock when a team was announced in Birmingham for '95. I went to most of the home games. I've stayed in touch with the league since then via the net, along with seeing the occasional game on TV on AmericaOne, Versus, or NFL Network. I've had to watch the last 2 Grey Cups on the Internet. Every few years I make it to the game live. Have been to 4 so far. Forget Disney World; Grey Cup Week is the happiest place on earth. :^) Fair catches are for pansies. With so many Americans playing and coaching up here I thought you might have had an association with one of our teams. Being a fan is great too. It's an exciting version of the game. I had the pleasure to be involved with constructing an athletic park including three artificial football fields last year. Learning about artificial turf, the lighting and communication components required for competitive football was a terrific experience. I got to hang out with a few Stampeder alumni at the same time. |
