My original statement, which *you* misquoted, was "I calculated that California could save $26 billion a year if we just rounded up all the Mexicans and deported them." You just want to quibble about *who* ought to deport the illegals, of which there are at least ten million in California alone. If our elected officials weren't pimping themselves to the hispanics to get re-elected, they'd order ICE to round up all 40 million Mexicans and send them back where they belong. Right now, one out of every five Mexicans is living in the USA and competing with Americans for jobs, living space, medical care and the benefits of education. Why should we even have a *country* if we are going to say that anybody and everybody has the right to come here? The public has tested the notion of Mirandizing enemy combatants and repudiated it, they have examined the notion of civil trials for the 9/11 conspirators and rejected that too. How long is it going to take for "We, the (White) People" to wake up and reject the Mud Flood? No country has ever established itself on the principle that immigrant scumbags are equal to the decent people that founded it.

But they came back to fight for the Union side at Vicksburg during the American Civil War. One of the descendants of that bunch became governor of Oregon.
