If I had no scruples I could write a column that blasted the "Democrat" <sic> party as Socialists day in and day out without bothering to do any work too. It's not as if my audience would ever fact check anything. Sheesh, all I'd need to do is take a poll: Press 1 if: You love Mom, America, and apple pie. Press 2 if: You you love communists, dictatorships, and illegal aliens urinating on the flowers.

Is either war ended or even began ending faster than Bush promised? No! Has he stopped the Reagan/Bush borrow-and-spend economics? No! He borrows and spends faster than they did! Has he raised taxes or cut spending? Nope? But he has fathered a massive entitlement program with Nancy Pelosy.

What gets me, is that Obama has made every effort possible to extend those practices to those who simply cannot afford a house. Many people recently re-financed or rearraged their loans, and those very people have defaulted ONCE AGAIN at a 50% rate. You'd think we'd have learned something from the first time around.

Fine, then criticize him for that. > No! He borrows and spends faster than they did! Has he raised taxes or cut > spending? Nope? From what I understand, he's letting the Bush tax breaks expire which will in effect raise taxes. Most economists would argue against a big tax increase and layoffs during a recession. I happen to agree with you that he should probably do a little of both, so again, I have no problem with you criticizing him for that either. And letting off the Bush criminals and the corporations that allowed him to break the law irks too! Look, the man is not perfect, but given the amount of resistance to anything he tries to do, I think he's done a pretty exceptional job. Still, I have no problem with pundits, network news, or Joe the Plumber taking issue with his policies, provided they can make a reasoned argument of how they could do it better. It's all the Faux news bozos that have to incite their dimwitted audience to violence nightly that I take issue with. > But he has fathered a massive entitlement program with Nancy Pelosy. Preventing the insurance industry from acting as a robber baron is not an entitlement, it's good law.

You are mischaracterizing his efforts. His policies are meant to help working people who aren't able to make the ballooning loans they got suckered into, but are working and can afford to make payments on their house. It is a sensible position if one that is hard to swallow. You don't want your neighbors abandoning their properties and letting them deteriorate, the bank doesn't want to foreclose on the house, the county doesn't want them to stop paying property tax, and they don't want to move. Helping them out is a marginal win for everyone. |
