Working on a gas tank
I can't afford to have the tank mended by a bodyshop yet, thus I want to remove the gas cap, undent the tank, put the cap back on, close it and and sand the tank on the outside and prime it to prevent rusting. 78 Yamaha xs750 throttle cable
Son bought a 78 XS750 Yamaha beater bike and can't seem to find a throttle cable to fit. Apprently the previous owner put taller bars on it and now a replacement cable is all but impossible to find. Look at the drawing. The box fits on a 'rack' which screws into four holes in the 'tail' behind the seat. Does your bike have a tail shaped like this? Are there four holes in it? If the hardware is made for your bike, it should screw on without having to drill new holes. ... 10 Apr 2007 16:22
