The real games start later this week. Canada's road to the gold now has to go through Russia. Win or lose it was a great game. Hockey the way it should be played.

It never was ok to fight in Olympic hockey. Fighting will almost always get you kicked out of the game and maybe suspended. What is acceptable in the Olympics is poking and spearing with the sticks, kicking or the typical verbal posturing. Since almost all of the elite players come from the NHL, you don't see as much of that these days, but back in the 70's and early 80's the Soviets were notorious for kicking with the razor sharp portion of the skate.
