Some good advice given. I just give it 2 full cycles and if the
traffic is lite...I ride on. Then again I can be a bit of a scoflaw
about things like sensors that don't work or stupid laws that nobody
enforces.

I did this at an intersection near me, the county traffic
signal engineer arranged to meet me there and adjusted the
sensor so it would detect my SV650.

Complain to whoever maintains the lights in Deseret. Sensitivity is
adjustable.

In Virginia, after you wait through one full cycle of the light, you
may legally proceed on red. (Not that I would enjoy explaining it to
a cop, if stopped!)
