My English teacher gave me a 'D' on the grounds of "this wasn't very clever", not deterred, I tried a dream within a dream, I got D-. I swear both where better than Inception and I didn't spent 200 million dollars. Shutter Island was much better, anyone who liked Avatar is probably going to wank themselves blind over Inception. PS: The 1st half was quite good, but if you didn't spot the ending after 20 minutes kill yourself now.

Avatar was 'OK'. I always maintained you could not save a film by special effects. You needed more; directing, acting, script, something. Avatar proved me wrong. It was appalling, but the 3D effects were excellently done. I think I lost interest when the exo-skeleton walked across the screen about 5 minutes in, and I thought to myslf "I wonder how this is going to end up?"...then they said they were mining unobtainium...but the effects were good. Bloody long as well. |
