The lever to the right of the column is the gear change lever. It is
cranked so that it sits quite high when in 'park'

Just checked DVLA site and there's no record, possibly been scrapped or
rusting away somewhere. Also checked an old Jensen I had and that's still
on record MMB940, big lemon but handled well.
