I like football, but to be honest, I've been concentrating on the lower leagues for the past few seasons. This year it's the Championship (old Div 2) - woo-hoo! I don't really follow the Premiership at all. I can't keep up with which foreign player has moved from one of the American owned clubs to the Russian owned club or the Qatari-owned club (or other combination) for some ridiculous amount of dosh. I mean, 200k a week?! http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/07/04/2009418/manchester-city-make-yaya-toure-the-highest-paid-premier -- Chris

OK, I wasn't really counting Football Focus or Final Score as they don't really show football. They show people talking about football. Anyway, I'm happy to be wrong as now I know that I can watch Leeds v Derby live on Saturday. > Not much rugby, but still a few games in the listings in August, then > the four nations. Ah, you said "rugby" - that's "rugby league", which is whole different ball game! -- Chris |
