The trouble is that if they don't get the audiences it would become very
difficult to justify continued funding: I guess the only thing to do is
to balance output between some cheap populist rubbish and some quality
programmes. I think they get it about right to be honest.

Yeah, I watched Synth Britannia last night and it was so blatantly
competing in the ratings with Ant & Dec. And as for that documentary
about camping, if that wasn't their answer to Hollyoaks I don't know
what is.
