I don't see anything at all in the parts book referring to those "clips." As for variations on the throttle brackets and other carb parts, it appears there's no difference among the FLHT, FLHR and FLTR models as a group and no variation among the induction modules for the fuelies either. The part number listed for the cruise control, by the way, is 70989-98. -- Home page: http://xidos.ca

The bracket for CC has 2 guides for the throttle cables, plus another guide for the servo. It could be that the factory installed the same one on every model, even if that model couldn't support CC. Sounds like the OP should remain cautious before buying all those parts. -- Bill C. "I am NOT lost.... I'm *exploring*" '01 FXDXT '94 Shadow VLX yank "yercrank" to e-mail

I am not sure I have the time since I stated so late!!! I had a mechanical unit on my starter bike and it was about $150 or so and worked fine except is wasn't a "real" cc in that it didn't hold speed up and down hills. I may look a bit more but I am about to give up the ghost and accept whatever will be will be. Thanks again for the time and effort in trying to help. It is very much appreciated. So with that.......setup up Shirley and put'em a round on ice when this ones gone. -- Virginia Squire '98 FLHTC '02 VT750DC
