Heh. Just noticed the counters. The one of my wife and her friend has the
most hits - folks can't tell from the thumbnail that they're both 50 y/o.

Is that the 500 only? Cos it only does it on the 450 if it needs it,
either for focus or the actual shot.

I'm *no* expert.

I was taken through a sort of routine to test what the shutter speeds I
could use at each end of the zoom would be. The climbers to me does look
like it's suffering some shake, but not *too* much.

I'd try landscape first, and then idiot mode, then (maybe) AV.

Then you can compare them later and *see* the effect.

It helps me, anyway....

I've never found the need to use any modes other than Av and full
manual, occasionally throwing in some exposure compensation. Had
completely forgotten there was a landscape mode.

Am I alone in not using auto modes at all?
