Yabbut - I was referring to the interest in discussing
H-D financial condition, health as a company., etc.. This
isn't rec.daytrader, f'rinstance.

Sorry, but I just don't see "flat twin" as a style of bike.

Well, I agree, and admittedly was painting with some
pretty broad strokes above. But it could also be argued
that corporate ethics, positive HR, etc., are also what they
are BECAUSE they contribute to the company's long-term
overall health. A lot of companies forget that, and IMHO
will eventually suffer the consequences. You can only
get so far doing nothing but squeezing your nickels...

I appreciate that. It might have been better if I framed my comments
as expanding on yours.

It may work for some, discounters, liquidators and a few mass
merchandisers but for most eventually you have to provide service and
support which means taking the next step in corporate responsibility.

<shrug> doesn't make it any less of a style either. To take that
thought all the way V-Twins are not a style nor are I4's, Singles,
Paralell twins, rotary radial or v8 motors in motorcycles a style.
NONE of them are an engine style by that metric.
