Exactly. There was a news report posted here a year or two back where
some psych analysis had been done of criminals, and it found they
generally weren't very good at it. But, crucially, they also lacked
the ability to analyse this and fugure out that they weren't very
good.

Most of the people on death row in the US are guilty of murder that was
not premeditated. Cold blooded murder is something you see in films,
it's rather more uncommon in real life.
